About
I am Tara, named for the rocky home of the ancient high kings of Ireland. And I’ve been consciously performing ancestral healing work for about 15 years now.
In a broader sense, I’ve been doing it my entire life. I was always the off-beat child, more interested in the spirits and history of my places and people than playing games with kids my own age. More interested in spending time with the dead than the living.
About 15 years ago, I dove into the waters of more focused ancestral research. As I delved deeper, I became aware of the sadness and pain that many of my ancestors experienced. This was most pronounced when visiting ancestral graves. I found that I could feel if they were at peace or if some energetic imprint of sorrow or struggle was still attached, and I knew instinctively that some of this struggle and sorrow had been handed down through the generations. On-site ancestral healing work soon became the hallmark of my genealogical practice.
In addition to ancestral healing, I am also a Bach Flower Registered Practitioner, a reiki master, a writer, artist, and craftsperson. When I am not walking the graveyards, I run a cluster of non-profits that work on environmental issues from a spiritual/ethical perspective. I live in the woods of Vermont at Frog Moon Hollow with my dark-haired mountain man and a passel of frogs, hummingbirds, and assorted other bountiful and blessed animal spirits.
This site is dedicated to my ancestors, and all of my beloved dead, who do me the honor of allowing me to connect with and honor them every day.
